It
is a time of wars and political upheaval, and the King decides to make an alliance
between England and Spain by marrying Blackadder to the Spanish Infanta. Blackadder
is keen to end his appalling run of luck with women, until he meets the Infanta.
From that moment, survival seems the best option ... Review:A
superbly crafted episode, in which the Infanta's insatiable appetites are bettered
only by her translator's stupidity ("Again Please!" was the most quoted
line for some weeks afterward). As ever, the spineless Edmund was bettered
by excellent performances by cameo stars, and this episode served to fix the leading
characters in their roles; Baldrick as the ultimate fall guy, Harry as a smooth
and ineffectual winner, Percy as a gormless twit. Credits:
