days of Merrie Englande, Blackadder is a courtier to Her Majesty Good Queen Bess,
and while the court necessities of jealousy, intrigue and abject crawling have
been preserved, the Queen has been rewritten from a hard and bitter spinster to
a playful and immature flirt, still dependent on her blindingly thick nursey,
and a fear of boredom. The Blackadder in this world fits in a treat; on
one level, he's arrogant, confident, a winner - but Blackadder blood will out,
