Review:
A classic comedy horrorClassic video footage of the dwindling relationship
between Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. This video was the stone that sank the ship.
Dud was not overly keen on recording another Derek and Clive tape, not
since his career was taking off rather well (at the time) back in Hollywood, he
was even more mortified when he arrived to find people were there filming it.
Peter was in a mess, and despite having begged Dud to take part in this
project, he treated him no better, talked down to him... and was generally nasty.
The fine balance that Pete and Dud had once had, that of the knowledgeable fool
and the unknowledgeable fool was shattered, Dud no longer looked at pete in awe
of his comic genius, but was rather sickened to the depths he had sunk too. He
plays along, but it isn't natural. It is interesting to note that the filming
for this was booked for three days, Dud did not return to the studio on the third
day, he had had enough. It is genuinely funny in a very coarse way, do not watch
if you take offence at anything at all. See the pure unadulterated pain
